4 An alternative to buying plants

Instead of buying fully grown plants, try growing them yourself! Buy seeds, put them in a small container of dirt where its warm(out of the sun) cover them and wallah! You soon will have cute baby plants that YOU grew! You don't have to buy the plastic germinating trays. Save money. Use styrofoam cups or dixie cups, poke small holes in the bottom for drainage, than cover with a towel and put up above your kitchen cabinets (so the kids don't get them) and keep dirt moist, ounce they pop out of the dirt put them in a area of partial sun. Then gradually move them into full sun a little at a time (don't want to burn them out) finally bring them outside for a couple hours gradually longer and longer till they do fine outside all by themselves. They are now ready to go in the ground. If not sure when its OK to plant, I either go online or ask greenery stores.
